Changing the world one bike, one fridge, and one brushstroke at a time.
You’ve heard us say it before, but in case you forgot – allow me to remind you all. We are here to disrupt road cycling culture. How do we intend to do that? With authentic design and compelling stories that highlight NYC’s rich history and vibrant culture.
Our painters Canvas collection is a physical manifestation of NYC cycling culture in the summer. The pops of color are reminiscent of afternoons in the Lower East Side and the reimagined design will ensure maximum comfort during rides.
For us, everyone is an athlete, and we seek to bring the best athlete out of our supporters through bold and comfortable apparel, community events, and health awareness.
Cycling is the most freeing experience and to be free is to live. We want to encourage and inspire individuals to make space for freedom, to work hard, and to enjoy the company of others while doing it. We are at the intersection of sports, art, and culture and believe that the best athlete can surface when we cultivate a space where the three exist. Everything that we need is already within us.
This is why we are pleased to announce our partnership with Lower East Side based non - profit, Artists, Athletes, Activists.
Started by avid runner and philanthropist Power Malu, the organization is led by a network of Artists, Athletes and Activists that use their platforms to take action and bring awareness to issues that deal with health, wellness, and social justice in underserved communities. They’re most known for establishing NY’s First Plant Based Community Fridge in front of Overthrow New York on 9 Bleecker St NY NY 10012
In addition to the Overthrow Community Fridge they have established several more Plant Based Community Fridges on the Lower East Side including in front of The Essex Market and inside Public Schools. Since it’s inception the project has grown to include the filling of thousands of bags with fresh fruits, vegetables, and Plant Based food that gets distributed in low income communities to families in need.
The Painter’s Canvas capsule is a true reflection of our values and the values of Artist’s, Athlete’s, Activists. I’m proud to announce that Carbon Chains Co. will be donating 10% of all sales from this capsule for the rest of the year to this non – profit. It is my hope that together we’ll be able to empower marginalized communities through health and wellness and of course, do it while riding in style.
