I'm Brian, Founder and Creator of Carbon

S-Corp or LLC
I founded Carbon Chains three years ago. I loved cycling, and I was convinced I could design better apparel. I'd never used design software or knew anything about fashion, but I had a problem: I couldn't find cycling gear that fit my style.
So, I took matters into my own hands. I enrolled in Adobe Illustrator courses, explored Alibaba for manufacturers, and started building what would become Carbon Chains Cycling Co. LLC.
I didn't get the PPP loan..
During the pandemic, I took a vacation (yes, I know, probably not the best idea, but I'm glad I did). I spent four days with a pen and sketchbook, defining the brand concept, focus, and possible names. This was a pivotal moment. Since then, I've continued to iterate and strengthen the brand's identity.
I tend to act quickly. I didn't do extensive market research or spend months on a business plan. I just dove in. In retrospect, I wish I'd taken more time to think things through, but there's a balance. As a solo founder, you have to make decisions quickly and stick to your goals to keep moving forward.
After forming the LLC in February 2022, I was committed to proving to the IRS that I could make this work.
Today and Tomorrow.
Today, I'm incredibly proud of Carbon Chains. The journey has been challenging but rewarding. The goal is clearer, the motivation stronger, thanks to the support I've received.
Tomorrow, I envision myself as a better founder with a strong team, excellent mentors, and a business that's on its way to becoming a generational company. A brand that inspires, builds the sport, and stands the test of time.
